SOME USEFUL TIPS ABOUT CONFERENCE AND CAMPUS LIFE

The computers for conference participant’s use are at SCI Z40. If you need to print anything please contact Conference Desk.

There is a minibus every 10 minutes right across from President’s building to Sarıyer where you can get a bus to city center.

The breakfast for conference participants at dormitory residents are from 8:00 am-9:30 am at Divan cafeteria in the University Student Center.

The University pool is open to Conference participants between 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The cost of using the pool is 5 YTL (about 2.5 Euros) on weekdays and 10 YTL (about 5 Euros) on weekends.

All meals that will be served during conference socials, in Koç University cafeteria or any food you may order or purchase in İstanbul diners are cooked according to Muslim rules.

You can purchase lunch and dinner from the University Student Center that is marked by 1 at the Map given to you.

On Monday the shuttle buses will go back to FuatPaşa Hotel at 9:30 pm.

If you are attending to the boat trip on Tuesday, there will be a shuttle bus at 6:30 pm from Campus to Sarıyer deck. The boat will leave from Sarıyer deck behind the Yapı Kredi bank at 7:00 pm and will be back to Sarıyer at 11:00 pm. There will be shuttle busses from Sarıyer to Campus and FuatPaşa Hotel after the trip.

If you are attending the conference excursion the busses leave from campus at 9:00 am from Campus Minibus stop and from FuatPaşa hotel at 9:15 am.

On Thursday the shuttle buses to Conference dinner will leave campus at 6:30 pm to Rumeli Kavağı Yakamoz Restaurant. The shuttle buses will be back at 11:00 pm to Campus and FuatPaşa Hotel.

On Friday the busses leave to Kabataş deck at 12:30 pm from Campus. The boat going to Princess Islands will leave at 2:00 pm and the boat trip takes approximately 1 ½ hour. The busses will leave Kabataş deck at 9:20 pm back to Campus and Fuatpaşa Hotel.
